In a world first exclusive, Wine Dogs captures the straight-talking American wine critic with ‘the Million Dollar Nose’ – Robert Parker, on video, rating his bulldog Buddy out of 100 points, using the very same rating system that he developed and made famous for rating wines.

How the Robert Parker Wine Dogs rating system works:

96-100:
An extraordinary dog of profound and complex character displaying all the attributes expected of a classic canine of its breed. Hounds of this calibre are worth a special effort to find, bring home and love.

90-95:
An outstanding dog of exceptional complexity and character. In short, these are terrific woofers.

80-89:
A barely above average to very good dog displaying various degrees of finesse and tricks as well as character with no noticeable flaws.

70-79:
An average dog with little distinction except that it is soundly bred. In essence, a straightforward, innocuous hound.

60-69:
A below average dog containing noticeable deficiencies, such as excessive sulphur, an absence of obedience, or possibly dirty aromas or fleas.

50-59:
A dog deemed to be unacceptable (don’t worry there are never any of these!).
